Made from coir fibre, our coir logs are 100% environmentally friendly and biodegradable. Coir logs are suitable for a variety of sediment control applications where they are placed in strategic positions to intercept and detain sediment-laden water flows. Coir logs act as an effective barrier against the flow of water and for soil amendment, since due to their high surface area, sediment is quickly trapped and detained before it has a chance to enter waterways.

Mulch sediment control socks

An alternative to coir logs, The Advanced Group can also supply mulch sediment control socks for our clients as required. Mulch socks are a sediment control method used to protect stormwater drains from construction site runoff.


Mulch socks effectively soak up water and work as a barrier around drains, intercepting and slowing water flow in order to minimise sediment migration. These socks can be repurposed or relocated on-site depending on your project requirements.

Sand and gravel sediment control socks

Designed to slow the velocity of runoff water and allow suspended sediment to settle out, our sand and gravel silk socks can be easily deployed across project sites as an ideal means of protecting kerb drains and stormwater inlets.


They can be set up easily and moved when required or emptied once the project has been completed. With most stormwater pipes and channels eventually terminating into creeks, rivers, and the ocean, our sand and gravel sediment control socks form an integral part of most sediment and erosion control plans.
